The Berkley Island University (BIU) is a fully accredited, degree granting, educational institution, offering a range of academic and other programs. Along with this we search for the unabashed study and pursuit of wit and silliness. Since its inception, BIU has doggedly pursued its mission to provide everyone on the planet with the completely useless credentials that they need to get ahead, and to become the premier educational resource for the humorous on the internet -- and everywhere else too. In this effort, the University is absolutely tuition and fee FREE, and provides loads of links to sites for both students and visitors; movie reviews; and many pages devoted to various campus activities such as the Student Newspaper; the official BIU Silly Hall of Fame; a very useful Career & Placement Center; featured monthly Faculty Research publications; the new Institute for Silly Looks & Art, a place to buy the underwear you wear, and, as a convenience to our students and visitors. Since it is always a party here, you might just need a place to find a pair of those. .

As the perennially ranked #1 value in the education world today, BIU awards diplomas either on the basis of a student's completion of silly coursework, or, the completion of a witty/silly dissertation. And while the primary degree offered at BIU is the Ph.D. in Reason, other degrees are offered, but we don't talk about them much.*
