Accreditation Statement Berkley Island University is an accredited, educationally accountable institution of higher learning. Our educational programs are designed to give our students the best possible educational experience for its price. That being said, BIU is not accredited by the U.S. Department of Education. Since one of our locations is in Antarctica (an area not owned by any government) we set our own rules. Also, our other locaction is constantly moving through international waters, so again, there is no oversite. Still, at BIU, we look out for you. We assure you that all of our degree programs measure up with any school of comparable distinction.

For this reason, BIU has chosen to be accredited through several agencies. These are internationally known for working with schools such as ours. They handle the accreditation of seminaries, universities, and colleges throughout the world, providing supervision for almost 300 schools in 12 countries and in 3 provinces in Pakistan.

Accreditation in the United States is a voluntary submission to standards of high academic quality, accurate record keeping, and ethical policies and practices. Accreditation is essentially a statement of approval. The best accrediting commissions provide on-site visits to ensure their high standards are met. Since our school meets some of these ideals, what we offer is close enough.
